NAVIGATIONAL
AIDS
In the last 5 years, Nawae Construction has entered into a
highly successful joint venture with Australian Maritime Systems.
The Joint Venture, Nawae-AMS JV, has been involved in the
refurbishment, design, installation and maintenance of over 250
navigational aids situated through the coastal provinces of
Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

The works involved in these projects varied from installation of
shallow water piled structures, refurbishment of land based
structures, steel piled lighthouse structures and the  installation
and commissioning of a range of different  lanterns and power
systems as well as the fabrication and installation of specialist
navigation buoys.

These projects took place all over PNG and the Solomon
Islands, sometimes in very difficult and isolated conditions.
Nawae’s specialized fleet of vessels and construction equipment
tensured results. The Joint  Venture is currently contracted by
the
National Maritime Safety Authority of Papua New Guinea to
undertake scheduled maintenance on all of Papua New
Guinea's navigational aids, which number over 200 and are
spread across the coastal and maritime provinces.

Nawae Construction is a member of IALA, and all its services are
delviered in compliance with the various IALA standards and
